Headquartered in Bjerringbro, Viborg City, Denmark, the Grundfos Group, since its founding in 1945, has grown into a leading pump manufacturer with a global presence. With its 2019 sales revenues at 27.5 billion Danish Krone, the company are producing over 17 million pumps each year. Over the past 75 years, Grundfos has been dedicating itself to the advancement of pump and related products and technologies, pioneering solutions to the world’s water and climate challenges and improving quality of life for people.
Since formally entering China in 1995, Grundfos has established 1 holding company, 2 sales companies, 2 production operations, 1 Tech Center China, 2 concept stores and 16 offices, and has been employing the staff of over 1,600 and generating annual sales of exceeding 3 billion RMB in 2020. Our products are widely used in sectors like industry, building service and water utility.
In 2021, Grundfos organized sales, marketing, technology and operations functions to serve four different customer segments: Commercial Building Services, Domestic Building Services, Industry, and Water Utility to invest significantly into innovation and digital capabilities and respond to trends in changing customer needs. The global headquarters of Commercial Building Services is located to Shanghai since Jan. 2021.
Grundfos has been the world’s first pump company to be awarded the ISO9001 certification and has met the ISO14001 environmental standards. Besides, it has been the first foreign company recognized by China’s energy conservation standards for clean-water centrifugal pumps and has for years been a leading supplier to the country’s government agencies.
In Beijing, Grundfos has participated in a series of landmark projects: 2008 Beijing Olympic Pavilions, the Great Hall of the People, National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), the new CCTV building, China Zun and Daxing International Airport in Beijing, etc. Also, Grundfos has been a supplier for such prestigious projects in Shanghai as the World Financial Center, Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, 2010 World Expo Axle and Pavilions, Shanghai World Financial Center, Expansion of the Hongqiao Airport, Disney Resort, National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, etc.
Grundfos has long been an advocate and supporter of UN SDG goal 6 (Clean water and sanitation) and goal 13 (Climate Action). Sustainability and social responsibility are deeply rooted in the gene of Grundfos. During UNFCCC COP21 in 2015, Grundfos received the UN’s Momentum for Change Award for its LIFELINK water supply solution. Besides, Grundfos has been proactively supporting “Water Cellar for Mothers” project by China Women’s Development Foundation and clean water access projects by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malipo and Jinping County of Yunnan Province since 2016, joining hands with Grundfos licensed dealers. In 2020, Grundfos was awarded “Environmental Contribution Award of China Corporate Social Responsibility List” published by China Business News.
