The 16th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the 16th Institute) was founded in 1966 in Lueyang, Shaanxi Province. Now it is located in Hefei, with more than 700 employees and a floor area of 127 mu(≈0.0667 hectares). The 16th Institute is mainly engaged in research and development of refrigeration and thermal management, superconductivity and cryoelectronics and product manufacturing. It has technology innovation platforms such as CETCResearch and Development Center of Cryoelectronics, Anhui Enterprise Technology Center, Anhui Key Laboratory of Cryogenic Technology, Anhui Thermal Management Technology Engineering Laboratory, Anhui Post-Doctoral Research Center, and is the first batch of “new research institution” established by Anhui Province. Since 2000, the 16th Institute has won 132 technology awards at provincial and ministerial level or above and been authorized 280patents. As a Class I research institute of national military industry, it has made positive contributions to the national defense construction of our country.
